Moral Issues In Business
Moral Issues in Business was a finalist in the Best Designed Tertiary & Further Education Book category at the 2017 Australian Book Design Awards. I designed and art directed the cover and internals.
The concept: to encourage a critical dialogue on the impact of moral issues in business, using the Volkswagen emission scandal as a reference.
When Volkswagen admitted to fudging emissions tests to deceive customers the effects were catastrophic. This concept encapsulates the sometimes questionable practices of the automotive industry and the moral implications of being sold a lemon. An illustration provides a friendly and satirical approach to a topic often overwhelmed by a focus on the negative.
A clean and modern feel continues throughout. A striking indigo Pantone was chosen to contrast against the peach tones used on the cover.
